Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL), 7-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central of Clay County improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Volunteers travel to Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, March 7. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 6-5.
The Bearcats now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cleburne County for a non-league game on Monday, March 10. Weaver will play a Tigers squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Woodland (Woodland, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.
