In Friday's non-league match, the host Cleveland Storm softball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Gallup Bengals.
The Storm (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Organ Mountain tipped St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM), 15-6, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bengals battle the West Las Vegas Dons (Las Vegas, NM) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 7. Gallup will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
