In Friday's non-league test, the Hatton Hornets (Town Creek, AL) softball squad got by the visiting Pike Road Patriots (Pike Road, AL), by a count of 5-4.

Next, the Hornets meet the Brooks Lions (Killen, AL) in a 4A Area 16 test, on Monday, March 10. Hatton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 5-4 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, AL).

The Patriots (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Curry (Jasper, AL). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Curry held off Hamilton (Hamilton, AL), 8-4, in a league test.
