The John Paul II Cardinals edged the visiting Van Alstyne Panthers softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals play the Legacy Christian Academy Eagles (Frisco, TX) in a TAPPS Division I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 13-1 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 12-1 non-league win over Greenhill (Addison, TX).
The Panthers (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockwall (Rockwall, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, Rockwall edged Longview (Longview, TX), 14-7, in a league challenge.
