Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) and the visiting West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), saw Clayton's baseball squad knock off West Johnston by a count of 3-1.
Coming up next, the Comets play the Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, March 9. Clayton will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC).
