The Covington Lions got by the visiting South Lafourche Tarpons baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles Catholic for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 12. Covington will face a Comets team coming off a 11-4 non-league win over Slidell (Slidell, LA). The Comets record now stands at 7-4.
Next, the Tarpons face the Holy Cross Tigers (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 10. South Lafourche will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 0-4 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA).
