In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Clearfield Falcons soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cyprus Pirates.
The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Lehi (Lehi, UT). The Pioneers come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Lehi was nudged by Provo (Provo, UT), 5-2, in a non-league battle.
