The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Payson Lions (Payson, UT) and the visiting North Sanpete Hawks (Mt. Pleasant, UT), saw Payson's soccer squad triumph over North Sanpete by a count of 7-0.
The Lions now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Timpanogos for a non-league test on Friday, March 11. Payson will meet a Timberwolves squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Cedar Valley (Eagle Mountain, UT). The Timberwolves record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, North Sanpete drops to 0-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Juab (Nephi, UT) to meet the Wasps in a 3A Region 14 test on Wednesday, March 16. The Wasps come into the test with a record of 2-0.
