El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Delhi Hawks (Delhi, CA), 11-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Gauchos now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beyer for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. El Capitan will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Gregori (Modesto, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Delhi falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Waterford (Waterford, CA) to face the Wildcats in a Southern Athletic League challenge on Wednesday, March 16. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Waterford lost 10-1 in their recent non-league battle against Johansen (Modesto, CA)
