Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Westerners now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seminole for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 19.

With the loss, Estacado falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Matadors host Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
