In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Cox Mill Chargers baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Cuthbertson Cavaliers.
The Chargers (2-2) will now prepare for their game against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings go into the Greater Metro 4A game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, South Iredell was edged by St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 6-3, in a non-league game.
The Cavaliers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Carmel Christian was edged by Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 8-5, in a non-league game.
