The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Eastmark Firebirds (Mesa, AZ) and the visiting Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), saw Eastmark's softball squad achieve victory over Cortez by a count of 17-0.

The Firebirds now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary's for a non-league match on Thursday, March 9. Eastmark will face a Knights squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Cortez falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Colts host Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ) to face the Rockets in a non-league match on Thursday, March 9. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 1-2. Moon Valley lost 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ)
