The North Gaston Wildcats softball team (Dallas, NC), was routed 10-7 in Wednesday's non-league test with the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC)

Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A bout, on Thursday, March 9. East Gaston will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 11-7 non-league win over South Point (Belmont, NC).

The Wildcats now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Stuart W. Cramer for a Big South 3A bout on Tuesday, March 14. North Gaston will confront a Storm squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Storm record now stands at 1-2.
