The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Lyman Greyhounds (Longwood, FL) and the visiting East River Falcons (Orlando, FL), saw Lyman's softball squad nip East River by a count of 7-4.

The Greyhounds now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Howell for a non-league match on Friday, March 10. Lyman will face a Silver Hawks squad coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to East Ridge (Clermont, FL). The Silver Hawks record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, East River falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Cornerstone Charter Academy (Belle Isle, FL) to face the Ducks in a non-league match on Thursday, March 9. The Ducks enter the match with a record of 4-4. Cornerstone Charter Academy won 11-1 in their recent non-league match against St. Cloud (St. Cloud, FL)
