California High School Softball - Santiago nudges Esperanza

Santiago Sharks (Corona, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Upland for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9.

With the loss, Esperanza falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Brea Olinda (Brea, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Brea Olinda lost 6-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Canyon (Anaheim, CA)
