Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Globe Tigers (Globe, AZ), 21-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Camp Verde for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9. Payson will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Northland Prep Academy (Flagstaff, AZ). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Globe falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ) to face the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Blue Ridge won 19-2 in their recent non-league challenge against San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ)
