May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting John Paul II Golden Warrriors (Ridgeland, SC), 15-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bluffton for a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Monday, March 20.

With the loss, John Paul II falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden warrriors travel to Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC) to face the Seahawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Hilton Head Island lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Beaufort (Beaufort, SC)
