Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), witnessed Mount Pleasant's softball squad prevail over Northwest Cabarrus by a count of 17-2.

The Tigers now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Gray Stone Day for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A match on Thursday, March 9. Mount Pleasant will face a Knights squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Northwest Cabarrus moves to 0-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to face the Raiders in a South Piedmont 3A match on Tuesday, March 14. The Raiders go into the match with a record of 3-1. South Rowan won 16-4 in their recent non-league match against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC)
