North Carolina High School Softball - Owen bounces Polk County

Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Warhorses now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Draughn for a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Owen will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-10 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Polk County falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines host North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. North Henderson won 14-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC)
