Arizona High School Softball - Vista Grande holds off Seton Catholic

Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Seton Catholic Sentinels (Chandler, AZ), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastmark for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Vista Grande will battle a Firebirds squad coming off a 18-0 non-league win over St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Seton Catholic falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Sentinels travel to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Wildcats in a 4A Desert Sky challenge on Friday, March 10. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Mesquite lost 17-8 in their recent non-league challenge against American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ)
