In Friday's non-league game, the host Lubbock-Cooper Pirates baseball team scored a nice 16-5 victory over the Chapin Huskies.
The Pirates (15-12) will now prepare for their game against Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 11-4 record. In their last game, Socorro ran past San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX), 11-9, in a non-league game.
The Huskies (4-11) will now prepare for their game against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners go into the non-league game with a 4-11 record. In their last game, Lubbock was overwhelmed by Monterey (Lubbock, TX), 7-2, in a league game.
