In Friday's non-league game, the host Orangefield Bobcats baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Gateway College Preparatory Gators.
The Bobcats (4-5) will now prepare for their game against East Chambers (Winnie, TX). The Buccaneers go into the 3A Region III District 22 game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, East Chambers tipped Deweyville (Deweyville, TX), 9-2, in a non-league game.
The Gators (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX). The Bumblebees go into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Little River Academy tipped Brazos (Wallis, TX), 8-1, in a non-league game.
