The Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), 16-0 in Friday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, March 13. Perquimans will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.

The Bears now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Currituck County for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, March 12. Hertford County will play a Knights squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.
