New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC), 11-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, New Hanover upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Wildcats host South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to battle the Cougars in a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, March 12. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 2-2.

With the defeat, West Craven falls to 2-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC) to battle the Chargers in a Eastern Plains 2A test on Tuesday, March 12. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 3-1. Ayden - Grifton lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC)
