The Gibson County Pioneers tipped the host York Institute Dragons basketball team by a final score of 38-35 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Pioneers face the Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 9. Gibson County will attempt to move on its 31-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 29-3 record after their 55-52 non-league win over Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN).

With the defeat, York Institute moves to 19-6 on the year.
