In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Rutland Hurricanes soccer squad scored a close 6-0 triumph over the Macon County Bulldogs.
The Hurricanes (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA). The Gryphons come into the 2A Region 2 battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Academy for Classical Education nudged Central (Macon, GA), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Bulldogs (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Chattahoochee County (Cusseta, GA). The Panthers come into the 1A D-II Region 1 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Chattahoochee County was overwhelmed by Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA), 3-1, in a league battle.
