The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) and the visiting Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC), saw St. James's soccer squad get by Porter-Gaud by a count of 1-0.
The Sharks now hold a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sumter for a AAAAA Region 5 test on Tuesday, March 12. St. James will meet a Gamecocks squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC). The Gamecocks record now stands at 1-5.
In their next game, the Cyclones play the West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, March 12. Porter-Gaud will attempt to advance on its 6-1 season record.
