The Escalon Cougars softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Mountain House Mustangs to 6 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Escalon improves its record to 1-4 on the year. The Cougars host Manteca (Manteca, CA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 12. The Buffaloes come into the game with a record of 4-1. Manteca won 18-12 in their recent non-league game against Patterson (Patterson, CA)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Bear Creek Bruins (Stockton, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 9. Mountain House will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Bruins come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 13-1 non-league loss to Manteca (Manteca, CA).
