Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host McDowell for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. Alexander Central will battle a Titans squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Titans record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, South Iredell falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC) to battle the Pride in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. The Pride enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Pine Lake Prep won 17-2 in their recent league challenge against Christ the King (Huntersville, NC)
