Coral Reef Barracudas (Miami, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McKeel Academy Wildcats (Lakeland, FL), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Barracudas now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Auburndale for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. Coral Reef will face a Bloodhounds squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lake Wales (Lake Wales, FL). The Bloodhounds record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, McKeel Academy falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host George Jenkins (Lakeland, FL) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19.
