Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Jennings for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. Merryville will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Northside Christian (Crowley, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Hackberry falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Hathaway (Jennings, LA) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
