The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) and the visiting James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC), saw North Duplin's softball squad achieve victory over James Kenan by a count of 16-6.

The Rebels now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Lenoir for a non-league match on Monday, March 11. North Duplin will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, James Kenan falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host East Duplin (Beulaville, NC) to face the Panthers in a East Central 2A match on Tuesday, March 12.
