Mississippi High School Baseball - Pine Grove holds off Alcorn Central

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) and the visiting Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), saw Pine Grove's baseball team gain a win over Alcorn Central by a tally of 6-2.
The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Pontotoc held off Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Bears face the Hickory Flat Rebels (Hickory Flat, MS) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 10. Alcorn Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Rebels enter the battle with a 0-7 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Belmont (Belmont, MS).
