In Saturday's non-league bout, the Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX), by a tally of 9-1.
Next up, the Porcupines encounter the Lake Worth Bullfrogs (Lake Worth, TX) in a 4A Region I District 8 bout, on Tuesday, March 11. Springtown will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Bullfrogs enter the bout with a 2-7 record after their 12-1 non-league loss to Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX).
The Bulldogs (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX). The Mustangs enter the 3A Region I District 6 bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Sweetwater was overwhelmed by Nazareth (Nazareth, TX), 17-2, in a non-league bout.
