The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) and the visiting Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX), saw Diboll's baseball team gain a win over Marshall by a tally of 11-9.

The Lumberjacks (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rusk (Rusk, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Rusk held off Harleton (Harleton, TX), 6-5, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Mavericks face the Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 battle, on Tuesday, March 11. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 3-9 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to Hudson (Lufkin, TX).
