In Saturday's non-league bout, the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA), by a tally of 11-4.
Next up, the Spartans encounter the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 11. East Ascension will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record.
The Demons (8-8) will now prepare for their bout against Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA). The Hawks enter the 4A District 8 bout with a 10-12 record. In their last bout, Archbishop Hannan edged St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA), 8-7, in a non-league bout.
