The Lake Hornets baseball team scored 17 runs and held the host Forest Bearcats to 3 in the Hornets non-league win on Saturday.

The Hornets now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richland for a non-league test on Monday, March 10. Lake will clash with a Rangers team coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS). The Rangers record now stands at 2-4.

With the defeat, Forest drops to 3-7 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Columbia (Columbia, MS) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, March 10. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 7-3. Columbia lost 4-1 in their recent non-league test against St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, MS)
