In Saturday's non-league bout, the Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) baseball squad edged the visiting Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX), by a tally of 3-2.

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX) in a 4A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, March 11. Salado will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 1-7 record after their 9-2 non-league loss to Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, TX).

The Warriors & Cherokees (9-4) will now prepare for their bout against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Rockport-Fulton was nudged by Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX), 5-2, in a non-league bout.
