In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Mooresville Pioneers basketball team scored a close 57-51 triumph over the Franklin Central Flashes.

The Pioneers (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lawrence North (Indianapolis, IN). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 22-6 record. In their last contest, Lawrence North nipped North Central (Indianapolis, IN), 74-59, in a non-league contest.
