In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Vasquez Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Cathedral City Lions.

The Mustangs (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Littlerock (Littlerock, CA). The Lobos come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Littlerock edged Antelope Valley (Lancaster, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions play the Indio Rajahs (Indio, CA) in a Desert Valley challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. Cathedral City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Rajahs come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Coachella Valley (Thermal, CA).
