In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Fairfax Lions volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Sylmar Spartans.

The Lions (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against University (Los Angeles, CA). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, University was nudged by Chatsworth (Chatsworth, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans play the San Fernando Tigers (San Fernando, CA) in a Valley Mission challenge, on Monday, March 10. Sylmar will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA).
