Fans at Saturday's non-league test between the Mauldin Mavericks (Mauldin, SC) and the visiting Philip Simmons Iron Horses (Charleston, SC), witnessed Mauldin's lacrosse squad hold off Philip Simmons by a count of 4-3.

The Mavericks (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Fury enter the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Fountain Inn nipped Irmo (Columbia, SC), 19-0, in a non-league test.

Next, the Iron Horses battle the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, March 11. Philip Simmons will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
