In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Miramonte Matadors lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-5 triumph over the Novato Hornets.
The Matadors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against California (San Ramon, CA). The Grizzlies go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, California held off Las Lomas (Walnut Creek, CA), 8-2, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Hornets meet the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks (Mill Valley, CA) in a Marin County contest, on Wednesday, March 12. Novato will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Red Tailed Hawks go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 16-6 non-league win over Justin-Siena (Napa, CA).
