In Saturday's non-league test, the Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA), by a count of 9-2.

Next, the Pirates meet the Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League test, on Tuesday, March 11. Wheatland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Fighting Zebras go into the test with a 0-7 record after their 19-9 non-league loss to Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA).

The Mustangs (4-2) will now prepare for their test against El Dorado (Placerville, CA). The Cougars go into the Sierra Valley Conference test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, El Dorado was routed by Placer (Auburn, CA), 17-4, in a non-league test.
