In Saturday's non-league match, the host Piedra Vista Panthers softball team scored a tight 4-0 win over the Artesia Bulldogs.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Roswell (Roswell, NM). The Coyotes come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Roswell nipped Raton (Raton, NM), 12-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 8. Artesia will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Sartans come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 11-6 non-league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
