In Saturday's non-league test, the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Cecilia Bulldogs (Cecilia, LA), by a tally of 14-2.
Next, the Buccaneers clash with the David Thibodaux Bulldogs (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 10. Barbe will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 6-6 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA).
The Bulldogs (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA). The Gators go into the 4A District 5 test with a 5-2 record.
