The Mt. Carmel Cubs triumphed over the visiting Bourgeois Braves softball squad by a count of 13-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cubs play the Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. Mt. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 11-0 record after their 26-0 league win over East St. John (Reserve, LA).
The Braves (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Assumption (Napoleonville, LA). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Assumption was routed by Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA), 1-0, in a league challenge.
