The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets triumphed over the host DeRidder Dragons softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets play the Loreauville Tigers (Loreauville, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 8-6 non-league win over DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA).
The Dragons (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Zwolle (Zwolle, LA). The Hawks enter the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Zwolle overcame Northwood (Lena, LA), 14-0, in a non-league challenge.
