The Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) softball routed the visiting Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 17-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Lions now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thrall for a 3A Region III District 17 outing on Tuesday, March 11. Franklin will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 4-0 league win over Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Connally moves to 1-8 on the season. The Cadets travel to Troy (Troy, TX) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league outing on Saturday, March 8. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 8-3. Troy won 11-0 in their recent non-league outing against Milano (Milano, TX)
