The Cottonwood Bears softball squad (Cottonwood, AL), was edged 4-3 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Zion Chapel Rebels (Jack, AL)
With the triumph, Zion Chapel improves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Rebels host Slocomb (Slocomb, AL) to face the Red Tops in a non-league contest on Monday, March 10. The Red Tops enter the contest with a record of 6-7. Slocomb lost 11-6 in their recent non-league contest against Long (Skipperville, AL)
The Bears now hold a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Samson for a 2A Area 2 contest on Tuesday, March 11. Cottonwood will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Florala (Florala, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-4.
